The County Carlow handler has left in Hurricane Fly at the confirmation stage, a 12-length winner on his only start in Ireland and also a winner of a Grade Three event in France.

His stablemate Cousin Vinny, winner of the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival and the corresponding race at Punchestown, is also in the reckoning for the Grade One contest but holds an alternative entry in a maiden hurdle on Saturday’s Fairyhouse card as well.

“We have left in the two of them at this stage but I will have a good look at the race and we will decide later in the week what we do,” said Mullins.

“Cousin Vinny is also entered on Saturday but there is no preference for him at the moment and we will just have to see.”

Mullins’ duo are two of just eight entries in the valuable contest, with Noel Meade also double-handed with Donnas Palm and Fisher Bridge. Vital Plot is a possible for Dermot Weld, while the field is completed by Aura About You, Healys Bar and Tramp Stamp.
