Ascot date for Crack Away Jack

Emma Lavelle reports her Champion Hurdle hope Crack Away Jack to be in rude health following his impressive display at Chepstow last month.

The four-year-old took the Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival back in March and looked an improved horse when scoring under top-weight on his return to action.

He is now a best-priced 7-1 for the hurdling blue riband and he is likely to take his next step up the ladder in the Coral Ascot Hurdle.
