THE victory of Raven’s Pass in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot on Saturday has catapulted him to favouritism for the Breeders' Cup Mile with some bookmakers.

Raven’s Pass has chased home Aidan O’Brien’s dual Classic winner Henrythenavigator three times this year but exacted his revenge with a length defeat in the QEII.

Fortune kicked for home first on this occasion and was rewarded with a comfortable success aboard the 3-1 chance – although French raider Tamayuz failed to run his race and finished just fourth.
