PARSONS PISTOL gets the nap to make a winning debut over fences in the Kevin McManus Beginners Chase at Listowel this afternoon.

He has always shaped as if this was going to be his game and we can be reasonably confident Noel Meade will have him well schooled and primed to strike at the first time of asking.

The six-year-old lost his form as last season progressed, but had developed into a smart sort earlier in the campaign.
