Sheehan makes all on That Fellow to land Ballabuidhe Derby
Sheehan later completed a double in the 15.0 hands on The Boodyman.
In their qualifying races for the Paddy Connolly Memorial final, Spanko’s Boy, Disraeli Quest and Mister Hill all led from the start. But in her division, I’m Just Like Mum, in rein to Robert Cleary, went into overdrive just before entering the back straight for the last time and powered to the front to take it up from Brywins Charvis.
She is likely to start favourite in the final, while Glenarn Harrier, who just failed to peg back Disraeli Quest, will also be well supported.
The Grand Prix final looks open, with Flashdance and Bon Camotion both impressive in winning their heats. Flashdance came with a devastating late run to score while Bon Camotion led from the start.
Peak’s Pretender won his division leading Coalford Victory home. But it is the latter’s stablemate, Stoneriggs Wizard, who qualified behind Bon Camotion, who is going for the hat-trick and could upset the odds.
