Ansar on track for Plate

ANSAR is on course to bid for a third William Hill Galway Plate success on Wednesday after being left among 33 possibles for the Festival feature.

Dermot Weld’s veteran plundered this prize in 2004 and 2005 and has won at this venue seven times.

Paul Nicholls’ ante-post favourite Oslot could be joined by stablemate Hoo La Baloo, who currently heads the weights on 11st 10lb.
