Murphy taking his time with Tuscan

PLANS for Tuscan Evening are on hold as John Murphy’s filly recovers from a mild bout of colic.

The three-year-old finished second in the Irish 1000 Guineas but was demoted to fourth having being deemed to have caused interference.

She was due to run at Killarney last night in a maiden race in a bid to break her duck but that plan had to be shelved.

“She had a mild colic last night, but she’s good now,” said Murphy. “I don’t know when she’ll be able to run again, we’ll just have to play it by ear.

“We’re toying with the idea of taking her to America because there is quite a limited programme for her now until the autumn, I’ll have a chat with the owner.”
