Progressive Mad About You can hit the net

DERMOT WELD, who has struck the bar in a couple of classics this season, can finally hit the net with Mad About You in tomorrow's Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh.

A very progressive filly, the daughter of Indian Ridge may well come into her own tackling 12 furlongs for the first time.

She ran a cracking trial in the Pretty Polly Stakes at headquarters two weeks ago, beaten a length and a quarter into second by the four-year-old, Promising Lead, with the subsequent winner, Anna Pavlova, a further four and a half lengths away in third.
