Rosa set to grace Oaks field

ROSA Grace will represent Newmarket trainer Rae Guest in Sunday’s Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh.

The Lomitas filly has held a high level of form throughout her career, winning her first two starts as a juvenile before finishing fourth to Kitty Matcham in the Group Two Rockfel Stakes.

On her seasonal reappearance at Goodwood she was not beaten far by the subsequent impressive Ribblesdale Stakes winner Michita before enjoying her own visit to the winner’s enclosure in last month’s Lord Weinstock Memorial Stakes at Newbury.

“The filly runs on Sunday and it all seems to be going well,” said Guest.

“She’s a three-year-old and you’ve got to go for something big if you can. I just hope the ground is quick over there.”
