Make it Masiyma

JOHN OXX’S once-raced Masiyma is the nap choice in the ADM Londis Fillies Maiden at Dundalk tonight.

Make it Masiyma

The daughter of Dalakhani is bred to be a stayer, comes from a yard in good form, and should relish this extended ten furlongs.

On her only racecourse outing as a juvenile, Masiyma produced a promising effort over a mile at Navan back in October.

In rear for much of the journey, she was noted doing all her best work late when three lengths second behind Aidan O’Brien’s well-regarded Kingdom Of Naples.

The form has been working out reasonably well with seventh placed Beach Bunny already a winner this campaign.

Oxx’s Red Eye Express gets preference in the most interesting contest of the evening, the ADM Londis Race for colts and geldings.

Like his stable companion, he too had just one outing as a two-year-old, taking a maiden at Cork also in October.

The fifth horse then, Plan, went in next time and Red Eye Express is preferred to Houston Dynimo, third on his seasonal reappearance behind Unwritten Rule and Washington Irving at Leopardstown.

Ted Walsh’s Collingwood could defy top weight in the Irish Autism Fundraising Event Handicap.

Beaten a length by Rookwith here a week ago, the six-year-old might benefit now from dropping down a furlong in trip.
