Rain worry for Sandown

SANDOWN’S meeting today is subject to a precautionary 7.30am inspection due to the threat of heavy overnight rain.

The going on the hurdles track is currently heavy following eight millimetres of rain on Thursday and clerk of the course Andrew Cooper explained: “We decided we just better have a precautionary inspection tomorrow morning.

“It’s purely precautionary, the track is very raceable at present but we just have a very uncertain forecast for rain here tonight.
