Sanders edges ahead in title battle

SEB Sanders leads Jamie Spencer by just one winner as the jockeys’ title race reaches its thrilling conclusion at Doncaster today.

The pair have been engaged in an enthralling battle for the championship but Sanders just edges it going into the final day of the Flat season after riding two winners on Friday.

Sanders stole the advantage when he partnered Alma Mater to victory at Musselburgh’s afternoon meeting while Spencer drew a blank from his rides at the Scottish venue.
