Tipperary hopeful

OFFICIALS are optimistic Thursday’s meeting at Tipperary will go ahead - although a second inspection could yet be called.

More than 50 millimetres of rain fell over the weekend but the track got the thumbs-up from the inspector of courses yesterday afternoon.

However, further rain is forecast overnight on Wednesday which could still threaten proceedings, with the going officially described as heavy.
