Vibes good for Hypnotic
Hypnotic Vibes, a costly failure at the Curragh six days ago, gets the nap to redress the balance in the Peter O'Brien Landscapes Maiden.
The son of Daylami made a promising debut at Leopardstown in early April, when fourth to Mores Wells over ten furlongs.
He then went off favourite at the Curragh, but could only manage a mildly disappointing fourth behind Muluk.
There are solid reasons for thinking he will now do better. Hypnotic Vibes was returning from a two months break, looking ring-rusty, and the way he shaped indicated that stepping back up to a mile and a quarter, it was only a mile at the Curragh, will work in his favour.
The rapidly improving Perfect Casting can take an interesting six-runner Nashville Race. Narrowly beaten by the smart Alexander Of Hales on his debut at Naas, the selection made no mistake subsequently when proving far too strong for Akua'Ba at Leopardstown.
Clonmel this evening houses a rather competitive programme. One who might oblige is Colm Murphy's lightly-raced Scholars Mate in the Killenaule Maiden Hurdle.
He began life by landing a winners' bumper on this track in November and was running a big race, on his first pop over flights, when falling at the last in the contest won by Dooneys Gate at Fairyhouse in December.
