Express eclipses Macroom rivals

EXPRESS ECLIPSE is the 2/1 favourite with Cashmans for the Macroom Motors Stakes final at Curraheen Park on Saturday after running out an impressive 28.17 winner of his semi-final on Saturday.

The Owen McKenna trained dog lost his chance in the opening round when stumbling at the break but made no mistake on Saturday, edging out Tedso to make the bend in front and then making the rest to see off the latter by two and a half lengths in a fastest of the night.

Cherokee Playboy meanwhile remained unbeaten in the event when taking the other semi-final in 28.46.
