PERSISTENT rumours of late that Tralee Racecourse has been sold, or is about to be sold, were denied yesterday by the chairman of Ballybeggan Park Co., Paddy Barry.

The 100-acre site is owned by 50 shareholders, who are scattered as far away as South Africa, as well as all over Ireland.

“As of now the track has not been sold”, said Barry. “I won’t deny that several developers have expressed an interest in it over the last three years.
