The selection has developed into a useful sort over hurdles, winning three times in 2006. He was also successful on his latest outing on the flat, taking the Ulster Cesarewitch by five and a half lengths at Down Royal in August. Jawad went up just 6lbs for that and the fact he has shown a liking for this track in the past suggests he will go close now.
John Queally, fresh from a tremendous victory with Al Eile at Aintree on Saturday, turns his attentions to lesser pickings with Jalwada in the Saltan Properties Maiden.
The daughter of Cadeaux Genereux performed solidly enough when fifth to Dul Ar An Ol at Limerick and had one of his main challengers now, Misskinta (levels), over five lengths away in seventh.
Thru’thechair has a leading chance in the Saltan Properties Handicap, having finished less than three and a half lengths fifth to Apt To Run at Limerick on his reappearance.
