Billy overcomes crowding to record dazzling success

TWO impressive trials had indicated Derby champion Razldazl Billy was as good as ever, but he sent out an even more emphatic warning on Saturday night when starring in the opening round of the Donal Reilly Easter Cup at a packed Shelbourne Park.

The sensational son of Brett Lee overcame early crowding to produce one of the finest displays of pure pace seen at headquarters in recent years.

Billy went off the 6-4 favourite to win Heat 6, with Si Senor at 5-2, but after being hampered at trap-rise by the fast starting Goldstar Lee you could have backed him at 10-1 as he rounded the opening bends.
