Mullins ‘pleased’ with Hedgehunter’s National prep

HEDGEHUNTER ran a satisfactory enough Aintree Grand National trial at Limerick yesterday when finishing ninth behind Wishwillow Lord in the UL Bohemians’ Raceday Hurdle.

Trainer, Willie Mullins, said he was “pleased” with the performance, although the Turf Club vet subsequently reported that the horse had a slight nasal discharge after the race.

As well as that pilot, Ruby Walsh, told the stewards that Hedgehunter hung badly throughout the contest.
