SLIPPERS MADDEN, brilliant aboard Jazz Messenger at Kempton on St Stephen's Day, rode another peach of a race when guiding Nickname to a smooth success in the Grade 1 Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown yesterday.

Fitted with a tongue-tie for the first time, Martin Brassil's French-import was produced with impeccable timing to slam Central House to the tune of 14 lengths.

A year ago Roger Loughran mistook the winning post in this contest and cost Central House the race. That particular scenario was never going to be repeated, after Central House and Jim took each other on from the start.
