A winner of the Flat when trained in England by Michael Stoute last year, Mordor has shown enough in his last two runs over flights to suggest a contest such as this is well within his range.

The Sadler’s Wells gelding was beaten only four and a half lengths when third behind subsequent Grade 1 winner Quatre Heures at Fairyhouse last February.
