McCullagh is now back riding out with Farinelli's trainer, John Oxx, having spent most of the year as first jockey to Michael Grassick.
This was only his eighth winner of the season and he has ridden no less than 44 seconds.
The Selkirk gelding came here on the back of a cantering victory in a lowly maiden at Gowran Park, but made the step up in game style. Bawaader kicked early in the straight, but Farinelli gradually closed him down and was on top through the final hundred yards to score by a head.
McCullagh and Oxx completed a double when Tarkani took the Ballyclough Maiden.
He had been disappointing, but put it all together here under a fine drive. Holbien looked sure to score for most of the straight, but Tarkani powered through in the closing stages to score going away.
Lady Power got the best of a tough tussle with Vicky Lane to take the Charleville Apprentice Handicap by a head.
