Casey injured

DAVID CASEY, first jockey to Charlie Swan and who has often been plagued by bad luck in the past, is facing another spell on the sidelines.

Casey injured

He was injured during a schooling session at Tipperary racecourse on Tuesday and is expected to be out for some six weeks.

“David was riding a horse I train, one of the quietest in the yard,” said Swan at Tralee yesterday. “He just showed her a hurdle and she fell back on top of him. Fortunately, he hasn't broken anything, but the socket of his hip is very sore.”
