Favourite in a frock

EVERY possible outfit design was exhausted at Galway and the best of them all was resting on a 19-year-old Meath girl wearing the dress she had earmarked for her debs later this year.

Plucked from thousands of competitors, Jill Macken was declared the best dressed person while enjoying a family day out — and only weeks after finishing her leaving certificate.

Her dress, a cerise and electric blue effort with matching hat and clutch bag, was created by world famous Dublin designers Tyrell and Brennan.
