Striking set to strike
The daughter of Danhill Dancer performed well enough first time up to indicate a little contest such as this is within her compass. She finished a length and a neck third behind Addicted and Peinteir at the Curragh earlier in the month. That race was over a mile, Striking only faded close home, and has obvious prospects, dropping down a furlong in a weak race.
The somewhat enigmatic Barati can enjoy a belated turn over flights in the Thomastown Maiden Hurdle. He warmed up for this with a spin on the level at Bellewstown last week and only the Ballinrobe bumper winner, Forthefarmer, looks any sort of threat.
