BACKED into favouritism on the night, Indesacjack won a thrilling final to the Kerry Agribusiness Irish St Leger at Limerick on Saturday night to credit owner Larry O'Shea and trainer Jim Morrissey with their first classic success.

It actually means that Dublin publican O'Shea now owns two St Leger winners as he bought the 2005 winner, Redbarn Panther, after he had won the Limerick classic.

The son of Pacific Mile and Jasons Smokie adopted a very simple approach to the Leger final task. He flew out of trap four and led to the bend from Alimo and a tightly grouped field.
