SIERRA VISTA can continue on the upgrade for David Barker in the EBF Lansdown Fillies’ Stakes over five furlongs at Bath today.

Despite rising over 20lbs in the handicap last year, she looked to be still improving and a victory in September over David Arbuthnot’s Green Manalishi now reads well after that rival won earlier this season. Barker excels with this type of animal as the likes of Mr Wolf and Mecca’s Mate can testify and there could be more improvement to come from this admirable mare.

She had a very busy year last season with an incredible 19 starts but she kept her form all through the summer. The six-year-old is as effective over the minimum distance as she is over six furlongs and while we are taking her fitness on trust first time out she could prove the value.
