‘Soft’ touch for Landfall Angel in Munster Open

MILFORD Open Coursing Club played host to the Munster Open Cup, which they ran in conjunction with the O'Gorman Cup over their preserves yesterday.

On a bright but showery day with underfoot conditions on the heavy side, they got through with flying colours with the 21 courses required completed at 3.30.

The feature event saw some excellent coursing with Blue Acre, owned by The Yorkie Four Syndicate and trained by Donie Kelly representing Cork, getting through to the final from the top half while the English owned Landfall Angel, trained by Michael Barrett and representing Tipperary, winning her way through on the bottom half.
