Eddie Lynam's once-raced Grey Desert is no more than a hopeful choice to land the nap in the Kop Maiden for colts and geldings.

He did show some promise on his debut at the Curragh last month, finishing fifth of 23 in the contest won by the John Oxx trained, and well-touted, King In Waiting.
