Fallon guest of honour at Galway fundraiser
Apart from the excellent racing, the Brothers of Charity, Orchard Centre, Gort are promoting a hospitality pavilion in aid of their fire disaster rebuilding fund and their guest of honour will be none other than Kieren Fallon, the English champion jockey who is a past pupil of Our Lady’s College, Gort, and who also hopes to have some rides on the day.
Kieren is no stranger to Ballybrit as he rode Alkayima to victory there when he was with Kevin Prendergast.
Kieren will be joined by Des Scahill, Charlie Swan, Jack O’Shea, Jimmy Barry-Murphy, Anthony Daly, Niall Gilligan, Barry Murphy and others.
On the equine front former triple Champion Hurdler Istabraq will make the trip from the Martinstown Stud to be paraded during racing.
