Paulo stumbles his way into semi-finals

TRACK record holder Paulo Coelho stumbled his way into the Kudos Supersprint semi-finals at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.

A 4/6 chance to take the opening heat, Paulo Coelho had just edged head of early leader Tinlough Mick between bends when he stumbled and lost his momentum. He made contact with Tinlough Mick in doing so and this allowed Own Classic, in third place at the time, to sweep past the pair and come clear up the straight for a four and a half length success in 18.04.

The favourite eventually lost a three-way battle for second to Movealong Sean by half a length with Tinlough Mick a neck back in fourth.
