Double Guineas delight for Fallon and O’Brien

AIDAN O’BRIEN captured the only British Classic to have eluded him as Virginia Waters completed a famous double for the trainer and Kieren Fallon with victory in the UltimatePoker.com 1000 Guineas at Newmarket yesterday.

Successful in the colts' equivalent with Footstepsinthesand 24 hours earlier, the 12-1 shot flew late to capture the fillies' race in some style as she left Maids Causeway toiling back in second.

Vista Bella stayed on well to finish third under Philip Robinson.
