Well drawn Conspiring looks the part

IF the weather is nice go for a walk and simply pretend Roscommon isn’t on this evening.

It really is dreadful stuff and, with four handicaps on the programme, punters have little cause for optimism.

Conspiring gets a hopeful nap in the seven furlongs Lecarrow Maiden. The daughter of Grand Slam is no great shakes, but this is an ordinary contest and the fact she is trained by in-form Michael Halford is an obvious bonus.

Conspiring performed solidly at Tralee last time, finishing three parts of a length and the same third behind Mwaley and Pepperwood.

The latter has since boosted the form and the well drawn Conspiring should at least give us a big run.

Toutankhamon would be a long way down the pecking order at Arthur Moore’s, but may be capable of winning the Elphin Maiden Hurdle.

He’s not very reliable, but at least ran well enough when six lengths second to Zamnah in a Kilbeggan handicap last time.

Achilles Spirit, given a vintage drive by Timmy Murphy to score at Limerick, may be capable of a successful follow-up in the Keenan Bookmakers’ Handicap Hurdle.

Austin Leahy’s Bluebell Line is the choice to provide the solution to the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap.

She finished a like a train to beat Kerry Way a short head at Clonmel and may shrug off a 6lbs rise in the weights.
