JOHNNY MURTAGH has been snapped up to ride Saturn in the Entenmann’s Irish 2000 Guineas tomorrow as he bids to win the Curragh Classic for a second time.

The Irishman, successful on Black Minnaloushe for Aidan O’Brien two years ago, was to have partnered Kalaman for the Aga Khan.

But the Michael Stoute-trained colt misses the race because of soft ground, leaving Murtagh free to team up with Saturn for owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing.
