Kicking King set for Gowran restart

KICKING KING, who established himself as one of the leading two-mile novice chasers last term, will have his first start of the autumn at Gowran Park on Friday.

Absent since being brought down when contesting the lead in a Grade One event at the Punchestown Festival, the six-year-old is due to line up in the National Lottery Agent Champion Chase.

“I am happy with him and he is as fit as I want him to be for his first run,” trainer Tom Taaffe said yesterday.
