Opera set to star

MICHAEL GRASSICK’S Spring Opera can reap the reward of consistency by landing the Dawn Omega Milk Maiden at the final stage of Killarney this afternoon.

The daughter of Sadler’s Wells has never run a bad race and looks primed for a first visit to the winner’s enclosure, following another decent effort at Limerick last time.

She only lost out by a head to the potentially smart David Wachman trained Perfecto, battling on encouragingly in the closing stages.
