Blonde can rumble rivals
Paul Hennessy runner emerged as a leading contender for the €13,000 winner’s prize when producing a brilliant run in last week’s semis.
Second in the opening round, Blonde Rumble left that form well behind last week, making all in 30.06, two lengths outside of Clover Hare’s two-year-old track record.
Blonde Rumble, who boasts a 50% strike-rate, winning nine of his 18 starts, holds a commanding advantage on the clock and has obvious claims from a two draw.
Owen McKenna’s nine-times winner Blackstone Woody made it two from two in the stake when beating another Hennessy inmate, De Burglar, a neck in 30.50 last week. Blackstone Woody can again play a leading role.
