Walsh set to ride Beef Or Salmon

THERE was growing speculation last night that Ruby Walsh will ride Beef Or Salmon in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown on December 28.

Regular pilot, Timmy Murphy, as matters currently stand, will not be available to renew his partnership with Michael Hourigan’s live Cheltenham Gold Cup candidate.

Murphy was suspended for seven days recently, having thrown his whip at a horse at Plumpton. He has appealed, what was generally perceived as a very harsh sentence, and the appeal is due to be heard on Thursday.
