Blue Corrig makes amends

RUBY Walsh, in double form on Wednesday, was on the march again at Bellewstown last night when partnering Blue Corrig to victory in the Murphy Environmental Mullacurry Cup Handicap Hurdle.

Blue Corrig makes amends

Trained by Joe Crowley, the five-year-old justified favouritism and was making amends for a costly defeat at Tramore last week when he ran out at the first flight.

Walsh was earlier expected to land the McCabe’s Garage, Drogheda, Maiden Hurdle on the Dessie Hughes-trained favourite Cowanstown Miss but she had to settle for third place behind Coutoure Daisy, trained by Valerie Keatley on the Curragh and given an enterprising ride by 7lb claimer Nicky O’Shea.
