South Marsh makes quick amends

SOUTH MARSH, trained in Ballygarvan by Barry Lynch, made amends for a very unlucky defeat in the Connacht Cup a few weeks a ago with an impressive win in the Slaney Cup at Enniscorthy yesterday.

The Ballymacoda, Co. Cork owned South Marsh had the feature event in Loughrea at his mercy only to go off-line and leave City Mayor in to lift the prize.

Virtually written off after a very hard hunt in the first round on Saturday, the syndicate dog came out bouncing yesterday and never gave his connections a moment's anxiety.
