Ruby Thunders to victory

RUBY WALSH was re-routed from Dublin airport to Gowran Park last night and delighted punters as he guided well-backed favourite Thunder Road to victory in the Gowran Park Charity Golf Classic Handicap Hurdle.

Walsh was due to ride at Epsom last night but the meeting was abandoned due to the events in London yesterday morning.

So Walsh became available and his services were snapped up by trainer Pat Fahy after Thunder Road's intended partner Tommy Ryan was shaken after a fall when schooling.
