Dark Prancer can finish with a flourish
The selection has dominated the stake since the outset, recording back-to-back 31.29 and 31.21 wins.
Dark Prancer holds a clear advantage on the clock and should prove a tough nut to crack.
Stay Away Nell kept on well to get within three and a half lengths of Dark Prancer last week but has been done no favours by a switch to the outside.
A bigger danger may loom in the shape of Senahel World. This four-times winner got off the mark in the stake in 31.51 in the semis and represents the formidable Owen McKenna kennel.
The Irish Examiner 750 also swings into action and McKenna’s Great Lark stands out in heat one.
Great Lark boasts an impressive CV, winning 12 of his 30 starts and is unbeaten in three outings over this trip, twice lowering the colours of Air Force Honcho at Shelbourne last month.
McKenna's charge went under by a length to Tyrur Ted over 575 yards here last time but looks a cut above tonight’s rivals.
Paul Hennessy’s Guess Who’s Coming, a clear-cut winner on his debut over this trip at Shelbourne in midweek, can overcome Welcome Beauty, likely to appreciate this test of stamina after finishing third in the Diarmuid Coffey Unraced Stake at Youghal, in heat two.
Heat three is another tricky affair. Cases can be made for Witches Lark and Share Magic but preference is for another Hennessy inmate, the well drawn Brown Eyes Blue. This four-times winner has a 42.24 effort over 750 to his credit at Shelbourne and should go well from an inside slot.
