Last-minute decision on Quiff’s Leger run

A decision on the participation of second-favourite Quiff in Saturday’s betfair.com St Leger will be left until the last moment.

Final declarations for the world’s oldest Classic are made today and Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to the filly’s owner Khalid Abdullah, was on hand to assess the ground at Doncaster yesterday.

The Michael Stoute-trained filly put up her best performance to date last time when winning the Yorkshire Oaks at York by an impressive 11 lengths on soft ground.
