CHAMPION jockey Tony McCoy is praying he stays free of trouble in the next fortnight before heading off to the Cheltenham Festival.

McCoy has ridden more winners at the showpiece meeting than any jockey currently riding and will be looking to add to his already impressive tally of 15.

And despite having an impressive book of rides over the four days, the champion feels his best chance lies in the ultra-competitive Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle on the opening day.
