Rock Island set to continue on upward curve

THE exciting Rock Island has to get the vote in the Fermoy Fish Tri-Distance Stakes decider at Curraheen Park tonight.

John Kiely’s ace has gone from strength to strength in recent weeks.

He overcame traffic problems to card 29.06 on his penultimate start and turned in another classy display when following up in 30.38 (550) last week.

A switch to the outside is unlikely to halt his progress tonight and he can go in again at the expense of Knockglass King.
