Fallon does u-turn on American stint

KIEREN FALLON has decided he will not be heading to America to ride through the winter despite his US agent Ron Ebanks signalling his intention last week.

Fallon had been expected to start his stint at Santa Anita when the track’s winter-spring meeting opens on December 26, and stay until the start of the British Flat season at the end of March.

However, he said yesterday: “I don’t think I’ll be able to ride in California. I was looking forward to going, but I’ve had second thoughts.

“We’ll be getting stuck into our horses in March. We’ve just finished the season now.”

Fallon landed the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Vase on Ouija Board earlier this month having enjoyed a successful first season with Aidan O’Brien and the Coolmore operation.
