Lake Vostock gets the vote

LIGHTLY-RACED Lake Vostock can keep the Dermot Weld bandwagon rolling by landing the John Perry Maiden at Sligo this evening.

The son of Darshaan showed a little promise on his debut at Naas in early June, eighth of 15 behind Hippodrome.

He reappeared at Bellewstown last month and, clearly benefiting from that initial effort, was touched off late and beaten a short head by the five-year-old, Charlies First.
