Fanshawe ace revs up for festival

REVEILLEZ emerged as a serious contender for Cheltenham Festival honours with a comfortable victory in the Civil Marriage Ceremony Venue Novices’ Hurdle at Doncaster yesterday.

The James Fanshawe-trained grey won on his jumping debut over two miles at Windsor in November and he followed up here over an extra three and a half furlongs.

Reveillez, who carries the colours of J P McManus, was sent off at 8-11 and pulled his way to the front leaving the back straight.
