Easy pickings for smart Adamant Approach

THE very valuable Powers’ Gold Cup at Fairyhouse this afternoon has a farcical appearance, with only three possible runners.

Indeed, one of them, One Night Out contested yesterday’s Irish Grand National. He fell, but it set to take his chance again today.

He warmed up for this with a smooth-as-silk performance at Cork last month. The nine-year-old jumped and travelled well, easing to a comfortable four lengths defeat of Knock Knock.
