Calling Classy gives Ahern third win in six days

CALLING CLASSY, who gave Dungourney, Co Cork handler Denis Ahern his first success at Clonmel last Thursday, doubled that tally when landing the Adare Mares Novice Hurdle at Limerick yesterday.

The Aherns were also on the mark with a pointer at Kildorrery on Sunday, causing trainer-Denis to exclaim: "I can’t believe it. We didn’t have a winner for 25 years and now we’ve had three in six days. This is a miracle.”

There was no fluke about the victory of the tough daughter of Good Thyne, however.
